Id recommend looking into the VMS4.1. It addresses the sound issues the VMS4 had. I just got the 4.1 about a month ago and love it. No complaints what so ever! Good luck with your decision.

I got the same deal I found it hard to get on with at first well worth the time mapping it yourself I learned so much about traktor 2 by doing this now everything is where I want it. What I would say is if you do get it. Load the firmware at least 3 times it seems 2 have a memory cap and remembers more each time the same with the mapping even when you have your own map in place it remembers the geniric map the first few times which can get frustrating as you will have 2 things mapped 2 one key so you can press a button say play on A dec and the screen will toggle as well. And the Balance output Leads Are well worth investing in £8 from Gear4music.com. But you won’t get a stronger more versitile controller in this price bracket The Beauty is it does not do it for you but responses to what it is told and 2 how it is set up meaning you have 2 learn I have been DJ-ing less than a year and this is the quality of mixing I am achieving http://www.house-mixes.com/profile/fitzfunk/play/club-vibe Now

hey Evolucious thanks for the reply 😉 yeah I have heard many people complaign about the sound issues and this has got me to consider whether it will be worth the risk. But than again there is the price issue too 😛

Thank for the reply Fitzfunk 😉
Great advice there, will definetley keep that in mind and am looking into getting the 4.1 now as I have seen thomann.de have a decent deal on a b-stock version of it. Yeah will definetley attempt mapping it myself after reading your response, I guess it gets you one to one with the software/hardware match up. The leads are a must yes, especially if your attempting to run a more professional set up I guess.
In regards to your mixes, great work! I would love to get that stage in under a year, I started on Vinyls long ago but left it and I am trying to get back onto the digital scene 😛
