    If you want to slam in a lower BPM track, then the best thing to do is either drop it on the one, or use some sort of effects transition..auto sync is for BPM mixing. There is no rule of dj’in that says you cant drop a slower track, but it has to be done right or you’ll be screwed and it will sound off

    What I often do is towards the end of the first track, speed it up to halfway between the two tempos, then mix the other one in slowed down to halfway between the two, then speed up the new track over its first minute or so. It works best if the tracks have music-free sections (ie just beats).
