The X1 is still a fine controller. The K2’s seem a bit wider than the X1’s in the videos I’ve seen, but I can’t be certain since I haven’t seen them in person. I will more than likely get at least one K2, probably two.

I’ve heard rumours that the “X2” isn’t far away. If you can, I would hold off on making any purchase.

Also Hessler, as a Denon user , what are your thoughts on the new MC3000 ?

For me it’s a great thing that K2 is coming out.. because a lot of people will be selling their X1’s 🙂
I don’t like hardware layers too much but the X1 just appeals to me more. But I might wait for the X2, if it’s not too far.

I will wait and see, I have also thought of getting 2 SC2000 instead….

I love my MC6000 and the MC3000 would proberbly be a 2channel Traktor unit with the same buildquality so
I think it will be a great unit. I hope it has a “real” mixer like the MC6000 so that you can hook up external units.
And it will hopefully have a lower pricetag than NI S2 and Pio “Toy” units 😉

I made a box for my money that I have been putting some in little by little since I heard about this so that I can get it by next year. Looks great!

I have to agree with you. Recently got to demo a MC6000 and I really liked it. I’m sure the build quality of the 3000 will be similar to its big brother. For me the big thing will be the connectivity and the fact that it will hopefully be plug and play with traktor , no mapping…can’t wait for this unit ! Also like that they have moved the pitch faders to the outside…less clutter in the central work area.

Was so looking forward to this unit but can’t for the life of me work out why there is no booth out and phono pre ? Denon what are you thinking !?

Denon is of cause thinking of cutting the price as much as possible. Then something has to go!
You can not make another MC6000 with all the extras at half the price!

I do think that it is the right way to go to take away 2ch, 1 mic, booth and phono pre to make the unit cheaper.

There is still 2x main outputs so you can hook up a speaker on the free output to listen to your mixes in the booth.
As for the phono pre. phono -> line converters are not very expensive to buy. Run a check in google…. 🙂

And remember that Denon has not yet released the product, it has not an official spec yet!!!

Hey thanks for that post mate. Yeah the main one for me was the booth out. I thought that
overall it would be similar to the XoneDX, but you’re right I can use the 2nd main as a booth I guess.

I’m hoping that the leaked pic isn’t the final product !!
