    Break it down into two hour sets and mix the genre, make it a roller coaster ride also is the second room for the chill out?

    The second room isnt neccesarally for chill-out, şt just needs to be different to the main room which is tech-house and techno. Do you mean mix each genre individually? İ like the 2 hour set breakdown idea…

    Just mix it up when you feel it needs something different every three songs or so but if one genre is working better than others stick with the one that is working let the crowd decide. 🙂

    ok, that sounds interesting, i must admit 3 songs seems abit hasty but your last point makes sense, let the crowd decide…

    Plan your toilet breaks and make sure you’re not playing the same stuff as the main room. If you have a friend with you they can pop over to the main room to check what’s going on every half hour or so.

    i hate 6 hrs sets. you have to play all types of genres and its tiresome. Also have to know how to mix different genres together. i have friends as djs and always employ them as an opener or a mid relief. know your music, know what songs are like 7 mins or have a breaker in your set to allow you to take that smoke or bathroom break. and i hope you are well compensated for your time because you will be beat at the end.

    Prepare enough music (you prolly need at least 12 hours of music to play 6), see that you are highly coffeeinated, bring a chocolate bar (sickers or whatever floats your boat) to pick you up if you need to.
    Do not drink any alcoholic beverages until the very last hour of your set.

    Boy at our saturdays revival festival I had to play 2 sets (4 hours) as one of the DJs was sick and I am still cranky… I think I am getting old. But at least I managed to pack the dancefloor for 4 hours.
