Winter NAAM is next week. I wouldn’t jump the gun on any of these until seeing what new controllers are released…

I have a reloop digital jockey 2 and 2 reloop contours, The dj2 is pretty low end, although the best low end controller I have seen, but the contours are great quality, the only issue I have with them is the leds on the top four encoders are a little difficult to see unless you are a lot taller than the table it’s on or the controller is on a slight angle, apart from that great knobs buttons are good, there is 5 hardware shifts built into the jogs for some crazy mapping possibilities, there is shifts for the decks and standard shift functions, so even using traktor you would have a lot of options for mapping, the contour doesn’t have any sliders to judge, but the the DJ2 has a fantastic crossfader, but crappy line faders. Overall the contour is a great controller and being the baby brother of the DJ3 is probably a good barometer for the quality of the DJ3.

I would definately wait till after NAMM as there may be better controllers released, but there may also be a significant decrease in price as the DJ3 will be older technology next week…

Can’t speak to any of these units specifically, but I can say Denon quality is fantastic. I’ve been using Denon DJ gear for more than 15 years with not so much as a hiccup. I’m currently using the MC6000 and love it, and friends are using 4500/X500 combos and love them.

But also agree with others here – wait until next week as new products always bump down the costs of older units.

Out of these three I would drop the reloop at once.
It is not in the same segment when it comes to quality!
As for the MC3000/S2 you have already cleard out wich of them that is the best in terms of quality.

Try all three yourself in a store befor buying but my suggestion is to forget the reloop as it is so far from the others in terms of quality.

I have also usesd Denon gear since the Denon DN-D2000F.
Many times I have looked at other gear and found it to be disapointing in one way or another
so I constantly end up buying Denon again. Because of the good quality/good price I find it great value for money compared to others that eather has lower quality or equal quality but too high price IMO.

Some good points above, but just to add a little alternative view: The Jockey 3, in my view, is a good quality controller and not a world apart from the others at all. It is perfectly easy to beatmatch on it. Don’t be swayed by hype: Ask yourself dispassionately what you want. After all, all three can control sample decks, so you could perform similarly on all of them.
