Advice for Laptop Stand

Well there are only 2 sorts of stands in my opinion and sadly what I found out:

The first is every laptop stand out there but the second. They all have some problem that you might be able to live with, but in the end they are all lacking in some categorie. The either wobble, take ages to assemble, will never again disassemble, will not be stable, will not be adjustable enough,… you name it.

The second sort is the Crane stand. Yes it is stupidly expensive. But is also is stupidly good build quality (why anyone in their mind would build that much craftmanship into a laptop stand is beyond me), is easily assembled, is super adjustable, can be used in limitless positions and can probably survive a small tactical nuke. So most DJs land with the Crane sometime or another, the question is simply how much money you waste on other stands before taking the dip… sadly I wasted loads of money…

You might want to check out the Magma Traveler. I know a certain well-known DJ website owner, who’s name shall not be known, that has written a good review about it on this very website.

Although by no means cheap, I think it is way cheaper than the Crane.

Yeah, this is the kind of purchase you’ll look back on and think “it was a lot of money for me at the time but in the end worth every penny”, whereas if you get something for 30-40 bucks, you’ll end up getting the more expensive one after 4 months of disappointment with the cheaper one. Wishing you had never spent that 30-40.
