I know we will never agree on this Scotto and to each his own, but anything “jelly” will just NOT make it’s way into my light system. Whenever I walk into a room at a party and I see translucent-cased lighting fixtures, it is an almost automatic disregard of the DJ as being professional.

To me they are gimmicky at best. You want your gear to be able to survive a drop, rough handling, many years on the road. Anything in a plastic casing is not gonna live up to that need. Even some metal cased fixtures of lesser quality (like some of the older ADJ stuff!) goes south in a hurry when used professionally. It’s why you won’t see it on any professional stage.

I understand the cost aspect of it. For the price of one truly professional moving head you can buy half of the ADJ lighting catalogue, let alone the extra space for storage, transport, flightcases (cause even though they ARE rugged, you don’t transport them without a decent flightcase).

I understand your business concept and realize it calls for low(er) cost lighting to work with your business model.

For me personally I stay away from stuff that (again to me) looks like it belongs is a teenagers bedroom.

Having said all that, thanks for the reviews as I am sure there are others out there looking to set up lighting on a tight budget.
