I use a reloop rmx 33i,as I like to add a iPad to my controller set up & some times go back 2 back with other Dj’s so they can just plug whatever in.
It’s no DJM, but for lite mixing use It has a booth out & the effects part can be fun for the price I highly recommend it. 🙂

    Hi Dom,

Currently my favorite for features, price and quality of build and sound is the latest (3rd) generation of Yamaha MG-series mixers. Normally I would say get one of those for back to back, allows you to add two mics as well. However you have some very specific needs, making it easier to get an analogue DJ mixer to handle the load.

Something like the RMX33 or similar from a reputable brand should work for you. Make sure it does have actual phono inputs (most will have those) so you can plug in your TT.

I second Yamaha. I install MGs as distribution boards at the bars/clubs I do sound for – specifically the MG10. It would do everything for you BUT the turntable (which you could just run through one of your controllers as needed). Very high quality. Solid build. And some models have a USB soundcard in them so you can even use it as a backup should your controller fail.

I use a 3rd Gen MG10 as my main PA mixer and have done for almost a year now – and I love it. Masses of headroom, XLR outputs and plenty of inputs. The Headphone/Control Room output could be used as a Booth output as well – it has a volume control which is completely separate to the master volume control..

I use mine with 2 mics, my PC soundcard and often a Bluetooth-RCA adaptor as well.. Love It 🙂

You’ll find that many “pro’s”, as in live sound engineers, will have one of these (usually the 16-channel) Yamaha’s as their backup/small backpack live mixer. Great stuff. Don’t forget that Yamaha has been a mainstay in (digital) mixing consoles for many many years.

Indeed – I use a pair of the last gen Yamaha MG166CX Mixers for any proper PA work I do – They sound awesome, the built in effects sound really good and they offer a good range of routing options..

Love them and always will 🙂

Not to say they weigh next to nothing compared to their brothers from other mothers!
