    I think the octop4d software for the launch pad is great for djing though you need maxforlive for that which isn’t cheap. Ideally I would have synced Traktor with ableton and used my launch pad but couldn’t get the sync happening at all, easy on the mac though but I don’t have one and now my launch pad has just stopped working.

    I think the Launchpad is a good choice, especially if you pair it with a Novation Nocturn for some mixer action.
