ParticipantThe Yamaha AG Series can be powered from the USB port on your laptop.. As can some (not recommended) Behringer models.
Behringer also make some battery powered models – the Behringer XENYX 1002B springs to mind but it only accepts 9V power- but I do not know of any other manufacturers that make battery powered mixers and I would not recommend buying any Behringer kit – (other than their X32 Mixer which is actually a MIDAS product in a frock but that’s a different matter..)
Note – the USB Behinger mixers would work but I believe that only the 302USB can be powered from only USB – which would prob be a little small for your needs..

ModeratorIf you use a laptop (battery included) and a USB-powered controller you’d be halfway there I think.

ParticipantVintage: i have two tascam mixwell cd players They are 9v and i found something similar to a usb battery pack that works with them so i can use them outside ,So i guess basically i need a usb powered mixer/controller with rca input or 1/8 inch line input

ModeratorWhy would you still use the CD players if you have two players on your controller and all your music on your (battery-powered) laptop? Soundcard is in the controller, hook up your speakers and done.
Just curious.

ParticipantVintage: Actually i would not be using a laptop on the controller , I would use a usb battery pack to power the controller (if a laptop can power it then a usb battery pack is enough) , my original question was im searching for a usb powered mixer, my goal IS to be able to dj with cds in an outdoor park with no electrical outlets , right now i basically have a full set up on battery power except a mixer , i do have an ipad with a controller (a pioneer wego 2 ,no audio inputs) , but i have a big cd collection and cd players that id just like to be able to use outside, sure i can just use the ipad , but id like to be able to use my cd players too, a battery powered dj mixer or usb powered controller with audio inputs is what im looking for

ParticipantI think you’re going about this the wrong way. Forget about trying to find USB powered equipment and just invest in a portable power box. Plug everything in via normal AC cords and use whatever gear you want. I know I’ve heard of wedding guys running full PA off the rechargeable power boxes for ceremonies and such, so if you aren’t trying to run amps you should be able to get more than enough juice out of one to last as long as you need.

ParticipantTodd: yeah ! that was my first choice actually but the price and weight and size of a decent complete powerbox was too much , so i lowered my expectations down to a car battery and an inverter but seems i need to learn so much electrical knowledge and also the danger of electrocuting myself so it kind of scared me off 😛

ParticipantHa – ya, I built an inverter system once and just about burned my house down. I feel your pain there. The boxes I’m thinking of are pretty compact and I’ve seen them on sale for under $200 – so keep your eyes open for sales, they do happen! Good luck.
