i agree with pretty much everything. i do feel that some peeps make too much out of the medium that you use, but I also feel that a lot of younger guys with controllers start gigging before they are ready (me included, back when I played my first gig). I give lessons to guys locally and i see this in a lot of them as well. they just wana get out and play. A few them get over this stage eventually and realize that they’re pretty bad djs. Its the cats who can overcome their ego and realize at the early stages that they aren’t good, that become the best djs in the end

LOL didn’t realise you’d already posted it on here – I just upgraded it to the main blog for a bigger audience.

well said. see alot of dj hating going on, especially with youtube. but honestly its just internet tough guys. most of them dont have the balls to tell that to another person to their face. i dont waste my time with internet debating, id rather spend my time actually learning something.

with that said, i dont even see what the big deal is. who cares really? if your spending all this time going around looking for people to hate on

i dont even see what the big deal is. who cares really. if your spending all this time going around looking for people to hate on, then your probably just another egotisitical dj who thinks they’re better than what they really are. no one way is better than the other imo. it all comes down to skills in the end.

stop paying attention to what other people are doing and work on bettering yourself.

    bravo iceman!

    @ DJ IZN

As a progressive/trance DJ the music wasn’t what I’d normally listen to but I really enjoyed watching you mix and can appreciate the skill and technique that go into mixing that genre. Thanks for posting the vid.

I weighed in on this too. I totally think ICEMAN is on the money, and I’m glad to see I’m not the only old school DJ who thinks this debate is ridiculous.
