My VCI-400 EGE is on its way, and if it helps you I could give a little bit of feedback once I got to try it out. Not meaning to take away from the Denon, their units are solid, but you CAN find some issues with buttons getting stuck over time in long-term reviews. Vestax has legendary build-quality, and my guess would be that the Vestax is the most durable one of the controllers mentioned here. Even if only by a notch.
The EGE is mapped tightly to Traktor. What pushed me towards that particilar controller (looking for sth with 4 physicsl channel strips too) was its comparably “small” footprint, without feeling as packed as the Denon. Then build quality and from what reviews say great sound. And finally the tons of controls (especially the “performance pads”). It’s almost like having a midifighter built in. I also like to use loops, and I like loop encoders more than button only solutions (sth the Denon lacks in).
But if you are more interested in the Remix decks (as in 2+2 channels), bearing in mind that you can only fully unlock them with an F1, why not go for sth like the Denon MC3000 or Reloop’s Digital Jockey 3? Maybe even Twitch…
