I play out with somebody too, it works perfectly on just one controller. No need for two laptops and a ddj-sz. Just give eachother space and NEVER press que when the other guy is playing. My partner in crime found this out the hard way last weekend xD
Hey guys thanks for the replies. The point of me using just one laptop is between me and my friend, my laptop is the most suitable for actual party djing. But I think me and him can pull something off with using 2 laptops 2 controllers and a Behringer XENYX 502 mixer. This way we can let the sound coming out as 1 channel. The only problem I see with this is cueing.
I did a gig with another guy a few weeks ago and you would cue as normal. The only thing you would have to worry about is the transition between you two but there is where manual beat-matching would come in. Just plug your headphones into your controller as you would if you were playing solo.
