    I wouldn’t pay 179 for them, but $74 is certainly a deal.

    As for studio moniters, most of them are actually closed headphones. My Shure SRH840’s don’t disturb people unless they are cranked up to ridiculous volumes.

    Sorry I meant specifically studio monitor Speakers themselves. Yes my gaming headphones are they same but are too bulky to transport back and forth.

    Mmmm interesting question. DJ headphones and producing phones need to do different things and we’ve never looked specifically at production phones.

    I actually use some general purpose studio cans, as I bought them when I was recording/mixing artisits in a studio environment. They do well for DJing, but their isolation could be better. However, they sound amazing! I deliberatly bought ones with a very flat frequency response, as I couldn’t afford monitors at the time (still can’t, nothing changes hey :rolleyes:).

    In conclusion, you can use studio cans DJing, it’s just that DJ cans to it better!
