    Maybe an external mic preamp is needed?

    Never used rmx mic input…it’s better to have a simple audio mixer with rmx output in and mic hooked up there

    I agree with Andrea, a small external mixer with a decent mike preamplifier would be a prudent move.

    I would think so too except the original post said…

    At present i hook up a external mixer and use the mic through that but its a pain to set up sometimes.

    I used the RMX for 2 years on internetradio with a condensator mic. Worked fine.
    Dynamic mic is indeed too low on volume.
