    I set mine so that each track played hits the -3/0 mark and then the recording in traktor I set to about -8 or thereabouts. It gives you plenty of headroom for adjustments in Audacity with a nice solid sound from your mixer.

    When recording in Traktor it automatically lowers the volume when you record, you have to manually turn up the gain inside the program.

    0db on rec gain. Use your track gain and faders to control volume. Rec VU should be going up to, but not lighting up the red. *You should not need any head room as everything is already mastered*. The less post mix faffing around and editing you do the better.
