    The thing is:
    For decent music you have to pay as decent musicians will want money for their work. AND I think they have earned that money.
    Your cheapest bet is to go for a DJ pool or only buy what you need.
    I have months I only spent 20-30 bucks on music, for a job that earns you lots more… so good invested money.

    im just antsy to expand my library, and honestly, the genres i have available.

    Dig a few genres, buy 10 songs a month or 1-2 compilations that you really like on iTunes (compilations are often on sale there)…

    yeah pretty much what ive been doing. the scene here in san antonio isnt exactly popular for trance though, which is what i started with because ive been listening to it for so long. fortunately i like electro and it has a decent foothold here. just wish i had the capital to blow 200 a month on it all willy nilly.

    damn you car payment….

    maybe i should just be less of the guy who says “yeah i DJ, do you like trance???” and be more the guy who says “yeah i DJ, and you will learn to love trance.”

    play the genres that you like. If you do not love what you play, you will not play good.
