    don’t they play their 2nd squads and what not? That’s what i thought they did. Just to keep it interesting

    3 to 1 Manchester United.

    The Fire scored one goal in the first half but fell apart in the second. They were no match for Wayne Rooney.

    Manchester United Need Warm up Games like this; and the Weaker the Opposition the Better; it makes them Feel Good;
    I would like to see them take on the Portugal or Spain World Cup Teams; then see what the Score would be;
    So Don’t Feel Bad Alex; just Allow your Team to Build Their Strength; and there is No Hurry yet 🙂

    I’m as much a Man U fan as I am Chicago Fire…so while I was impressed at the goal the Fire scored, I came into this game knowing they would lose. The Fire originally were winning the MLS Championships when the MLS started, but time’s passed and the team fell a bit. Nowadays they seem to always have a good start but fall apart in the second half.

    Man U were the recent Premier League Champions. Plus the European teams have way more resources to put into their game than the US does. Eventually the Fire will pick up their game in a few years, but I’ll be honest in saying the MLS can’t even come close to the talent of the European Teams. It’s why I like to try to catch the EU games when I can.

    Euro Cup is next year. Excited for that.

    Yes;The European Championship is Amazing; second to the World Cup there is Nothing to Beat It 🙂
    We couldn’t beat you at your Sports so it is all Equal in the end 😎

    Just finished watching the MLS “All-Stars” game vs Man U.

    I think this game pretty much sums up what a joke U.S. Soccer is. I’m sorry if this offends any U.S. Soccer fans here, but European soccer is at a whole different caliber

    sad game. sad, sad game.. I barely watched any of it, came it at 0-3, left somewhere just after 0-4

    It really is difficult to watch a european team play on tv and then go to an MLS game. But I enjoy it nonetheless. It really is like the difference between a high school team and a professional team. But still fun to watch. It has certainly improved quite a lot in a relatively short time though.

    I do have to agree with this. The improvement over the years is worth noting.

    I still support the Fire, but I accept the fact the MLS owners don’t have the money the European teams have. Manchester United will spend top dollar for the best talent, and even that could mean talented soccer players from the US.

    Face it, if any top athlete is being offered 5-10 times more to play in another country over the US, would they pass that up?

    I’m fine with it though. The US still leads in baseball, basketball, American football, and I think hockey. We don’t have to be the “top” at everything. Just wish I could watch more European football without having to pay a bundle to some cable/media company.

    LOL, it might be that you lead those sports because your the only country that plays them :p
