Speakers, 0dB is possible. My Mackies have a +- 6dB range, this way I have a little playroom to tweak the room balance, for example if one speaker is further away from the center of the floor than the other.
Then play a representative tune, set channel gain to 0dB, then set fader to 0dB or about 80%. Then set master to 0dB on the level meter.
Now go to the ZED and set the incoming channel gain to 0dB.
You can now move the master fader on the ZED and have everything at 0dB giving yoy some playroom
