There are several modular controllers out there that have RGB pads that you could use. The Midi Fighter Spectra and 3D were, for a while, the only controllers that could control the remix decks (and even not fully until the update) Most controllerists rave about the feel and durability of the arcade buttons used. Another controller to look into would be the Behringer CMD-LC1. It has RGB, an 8×4 grid (meaning you could have two rows of one remix deck, or even both pairs of Remix decks on 1 controller). It has 8 rotary encoders (as oppossed to the 4 knobs and 4 faders of the F1, so you could probably have the same mappings, and even has more “extra” buttons than the F1. You also could look into the Xone K2 as well. As for button feel, thats sort of a subjective thing. The maschine line is known for great pads, so if you like those, use them as a guideline.
