Nope. Probably because of the difficulty of setting this up at each and every gig, and the fact that no one minds if there is a computer. Imagine having to set up three mirrors perfectly, and then only being able to see the screen if your head is in one specific spot. Also, you could only put the computer in one spot.

If you are using an Apple, people find it “cool” hehe

I have to say that, even with an Apple, I hate having that slap of screen in front of me. Or more precise, in between me and the audience. And it sticks out in front too much too.

It’s my major gripe with digital DJ-ing. I am getting a clamp-on RoadReady PC tray that I can attach way to the side of my coffin. I am looking into switching to MixVibes Cross and it has iPad remote. Might just stick my laptop UNDER my stand and use the iPad for remote screen info :-).

An alternative might be getting a nice 19″ touchscreen and mounting it almost flush. This WILL however stick out way in front of your controller.

I can’t wait for Google Glass! Have all that stuff projected in front of my eyes LOL.

I simply use my crane stand and bend it in a way that most of the time the laptop is below the booth decoration thingy in front of me, or sometimes if the booth is small the screen will extend a little over it.
On mobile gigs I do the same, or if very little space is available and I cannot use the ProDJ thing I try to put it sideways.
I tend not to look at the screen much, apart from song selection and waveforms when scratching.

That’s exactly what I do now, although I just use Splashtop to view my whole desktop rather than a dedicated app for my djing software (Traktor/Engine). The iPad is on a slide out tray below my mixer, I just pull the tray out when I need to use it, then slide it back in so it doesn’t get in the way.

It’s pretty handy, keeps the laptop out of the way. I just use a wireless mouse as well to make things easier, can be pretty hard pressing tiny controls on a iPad screen!

I alway if possible have my MBP beside the controller and never in front of me. For the most part I only need to look at it while selecting next track to play anyway.
