This is really a stepping stone project for a full in depth database that would pull from Mixed in Key and Serato (and if it looks viable to sell Traktor and/or Virtual DJ) which is graphical and will have points in a web that would expand and contract with the connections being the curated mixes.
Anybody know anything I am talking about that would be willing to help me?

I’m pretty sure virtual dj has this function already. Windows Media Player artificially downloads ID3 Tags for music files though it doesn’t always get it right and I think ITunes does as well.

iTunes has a powerful ID3 editor, and both iTunes and Virtual DJ save their playlists as .m4u which can be read by either.
The long end game would look kind of similar to this:

This is really a heavily applied filemaker question/serato question.
though, in theory a .m4u could be converted to a .csv which could be converted to a .xlsx and finally to a filemaker database….
Thanks for the help though đŸ™‚

I am not sure how easy it is to get your serato info into RekordBox. You can use RekordKrate on the iPad and it does exactly what you need. You can select active playlists to chose the next song from or the entire library. It tells you what goes well based on bpm and keys. It color-codes for various match types based on note separation.

Might want to check it out.
