Totally going to think about that!

Fits with your DJ wisdom ;).

I know what you mean, it doesn’t have to be stuffed with decoration. I like it sober, but just a little decoration would be nice though.

This is how I’m setup at home and American DJ DJ stand that take about 1 minutes to put together or take apart. the Monitors are stands are made of parts from a T-bar and TV wall mounts (Monitors were attached to wall before) Latop stand is a K&M extension for a keyboard stand modified to fit the table.
It’s perfect for me and if I have several guests sleeping over it can be taken apart put in the corner so I have room for a foldout bed 😀
The DJ table comes in 2 sizes by the way and has a T-Bar I use the other larger one when I need to take a table to a gig.July 1, 2013 at 11:57 am #41768nick greek

ModeratorI am not sure how big your budget is. I have both sizes American DJ tables (I threw away the light bars, I thought they looked tacky, but that is taste for ya). There is no tabletop with them, so you have to make something. The other things is I don’t like people looking through my table. No place to stash stuff behind/under the table without it looking like a mess.
If it is just for at home I’d say go with the Ikea stuff. Cheap, legs height-adjustable and up to the job. If you want to take stuff out to play, I would suggest looking at these ProDJuser stands here:
This is the one I have. Been through h*ll and back the last couple of years. But sets up in literally seconds. Has a shelf in the back so lots of room for stashing stuff. Sturdy, nice working height and wide enough even for my 12″ mixer with two full size media players.
If you don’t mind the see-through bit and want foldable/portable, this might appeal to you:
And the same thing, but semi-permanent:
Finally, this is the American DJ one (I know it says JB Systems or something, but it is exactly the same thing. Like I said I have two of ‘m).
I guess you can see why I find the light bars a bit … well … But without them (I have added a flightcase material table top and a stretch skirt around it) they make pretty decent tables that I use for live sound gigs where I need a lot of gear and storage space. For DJ use it is always the black ProDJuser one.Hope that helps.

ParticipantI really like that ProDJuser one and for the ADJ one’s I don’t use the T-bar unless I really need to.

Participantummm neon light (coloured) behing the set facing the wall and two pinspots fixed on the wall on the both sides, again facing wall (turned to the ceiling). Looks nice, u dont need any other lights on at the time, clean and tidy…
Just cant show it right now, cuz we are switching rooms at home :/July 2, 2013 at 10:19 pm #41839Marcel Wambsganss
ParticipantI really recommend LED-strips – makes every dull furniture shiny 🙂
For example, you could grad one of those: click
