    Well I had to try it when I read your question right away and:
    *** drum roll ***

    IT WORKS!

    I am totally blown away. You can make a track by humming, lalalaing or whatever and Ableton will translate it to midi with very good precision. Hell I had a tune in my head and started hum-lalala-humming away and then translated it to strings and it was awesome!
    Hell you just opened my eyes for a total killer feature! This is so much fun, I am rarely this emotional, hehe

    Right when I heard about it I just couldn’t stop thinking about how fast the composition process would be if I could just hum-input tunes and use the maschine for percussion. All the times I heard melodies in my head but just couldn’t get them exactly how they sounded in my head……. this is certainly a new age for music.

    What once took weeks will now only take days…….I loved you logic, but I think I need to start saving to make the switch asap.

    In fact that was one of the “selling points” of the feature and it was featured in lots of promo videos – a guy whistling some notes to form a bassline or smthing.
