If you are the Traktor guy and define your dream controller as the S4, then by all means go for it.

S4 sounds good, and also can be used if you ever decide you wanna go DVS.

Also if you are a hot cue aholic, the F1’s give you 16 big buttons (2 x 8 hot cues).

Also I don’t know if it matters to you or not, but when you look at NI gear next to each other, it all matches and looks nice. Never thought of this until I put my F1 next to my S2 and they look sexy.

But then again I am biased because I have had such a good experience with NI products.

Believe me, I’ve noticed haha I’ve tried the F1 and S4, as well as the X1, together at my local guitar center, and they look great 😀 Thanks guys! By the way, how does the transition between Remix Deck HID mode and MIDI mode work on the F1? I have a Maschine Mikro, and it’s super simple on that. Is the F1 similar?

You are saying you want ease of use, which would definitely be the S4. However, to be honest, your style sounds like it leans heavily in the controllerist direction. If so, you may want to demo the VCI-400 (if you haven’t already). It means getting into some MIDI mapping, but it it billed as a controllerist’s 4 deck controller
