    You got it. What you’re doing is the reason why I wrote the article on why you can’t be a hermit and get gigs.

    I made that mistake for too long. Was home on the weekends chilling out when I should have gone out more and networked better. Keep it up.

    I too have started taking the “get out and meet people” approach. I started socializing with a local DJ crew and after regularly attending their shows and supporting their core DJs, they invited me to fill in for another DJ who got sick. Hanging out with a DJ crew has also given me an avenue to discuss new music and also get tips on how to improve my DJing. Thanks Phil and D-Jam for the simple, yet solid advice!
