I don’t know the jogs on the RMX2, but I think the ones on the MC2000 are the same as the ones on the MC3000 and MC6000. Having worked with the MC6000 for a fair bit, I have to say they feel nice and direct. They are conductive, so no clicks or pressing down on the platters.

Think I heard somewhere that, like the SC2900s, the platters are connected directly to the “pickup” that sends the signal to the PC, rather than through little gears or so. Apparently that makes for a more direct control and responsiveness.

Might wanna read up on that 🙂

The MC2000 is lightyears ahead in build quality.

Cheers folks, yeah I’m leaving towards the mc2000 at the moment and also potentially looking at second hand vci300mk2 or mc3000.

To be fair they all look good and I’m just not sure about software now though I guess I’ll be looking to upgrade so I can record.

Pulled the trigger on an mc2000.

    Looking forward to it!

Just received the mc2000 last night and have had a quick play on it.

Coming into the digital dj scene from traditional decks and vinyl I have to say I’m pretty impressed. Setup was quick and easy and I was mixing, scratching and juggling inside 15 mins.

    Serato seems pretty good too.

Loops, effects and samples – all shiny new toys to play with as well as hot cue’s.

all feels nice and familiar pretty quickly. One slight thing I’ll need to check out is that there appeared to be some slight latency with the jogs when scratching. Could just be my technique getting useful to small jogs rather than 12″s or I may need to check what’s running on the background and amend the buffer size.

All in all very impressed. Also going to route my Android phone to the line in so I can use a groovebox app to play 303 bass lines and drum patterns over the mix.

Hmm that seems odd I had about zero latency on the jogs with the 2000, not as tight as my TM4 but very close.
Maybe there is slight latency in the touch sensitivity of the jogs and you can adjust those I guess?

What the f*ck Harry, are you sponsored by Denon or something? Geez, I endorse Denon products too, because I get good results with them. But marketing slogans from their website … really?

Where is Terry when you need him ??? <just kidding >
