Yes you should be able to see it in Traktor.
If you run your songs through recordbox and have the recordbox database on your stick you should be able to use it on CDJs. However there are some CDJs that are sort of “picky” with USB sticks and some older models cannot get around to using the larger sticks.
The laptop should be fine for DJing with 4 GB Ram. Usually you can also get very cheap 500 GB internal disks to replace the old one… even more space.
That is what I did actually. Replaced the internal disk with a new larger one, as the normal HD speed is enough.
But a set of backup songs on a cheap 8 GB thumbdrive that I organized with recordbox, that will usually work with any CDJ.
