I’m working on a set like this with my friend Teggy, it’s easier than you think it will be! We made it 4 tracks each, so that we can have anchor points that progress the set (on tracks 1 and 4), and then there’s some room to breathe and change things up a bit on tracks 2 and 3 if we decide that what we planned on isn’t going to work. Matching track styles and keeping it cohesive is probably the hardest part about it, so make sure you guys are working toward the same set, rather than making it sound like 2 different sets being played simultaneously lol.

Did it all the time with my DJ crew it is total fun, just play like 2 or 3 songs then when you think you have an idea for the next one while he is playing tell him your idea and mix over him… go back and forth as ideas come up.
However to have more variety I usualy prepare triple the music that would be needed for the length of the set.

probably the best advice on b2b djing. it’s also a good idea to have a mix together beforehand so you can familirise yourselves with each other’s playing style.
