    Hey Nerf,

    You’ll have no problem mapping the Akai to trigger the samples. I did the same thing with my old mtp and lpd8. It’s an easy way (and crazy cheap) to get started with finger drumming and all that good stuff. For added fun/flavor, try using one-word samples and use them like you would be finger drumming. You can do some fun chopped vocal stuff that way 🙂

    P.S. i forgot to say that i also used vdj pro. it was perfect for the job.

    Thanks for the reply dude. I’ll have to sit down when I get some spare time and map it to the samples. Using vocals is a sweet idea! I never even thought of that. Thanks once again.

    Hello everyone, I’m new on this dj world, I got myself an lpd8 but I can’t map it on virtual dj 8 the most resent version…

    I had follow several videos and nothing…

    Could you share a map? Or instructions?

    Log into the Virtual website, go to Addons, pick version 7 (even if you’re using version 8), select the Controllers tab, do a search for “LPD” and pick one of the mappings you like. Download and install.

    It should work with 8. If not, let me know which one you picked and I’ll review the code to try and see what the issue is for you.
