Well the DDJ-WeeGo has definately the better lightshow, but it is also a step away from traditional DJing. Which is no problem if you want to stay in the bedroom or never try anything else.
If you want to learn DJing in the traditional sense then the beatmix is by far the better controller. It is a solid controller and has all the functions that you need to learn DJing the traditional way.

So the WeGo is for those who want to become a “bedroom Dj”,not for those who want to move on with club djing etc, and the beatmix is for those who want to become a bedroom dj AND for those who want to move on on club djing etc ??

Of course ? Why of course ? You sure you don’t mean “and, of course, despite it being Pioneer!!”?

🙂 Happy spinning boys & girls!

the layout of the beatmix(despite the fact that everything is mirrored) the extra feature of the gain and the feel of the jogwheels can easily emulate cdj djing, however i would strongly recommend going next to a pioneer high end controller or setup. you can practise for a few months on the beatmix and then put all your earnings on the upgrade. this is how i got prepared for club club djing,if you want to go into mobile djing or bar djing it is a different story

The beatmix is good enough to make it your controller for several years. Depending on the genre you want to drive.
There is no need to upgrade to any pioneer gear (though their highend DDJ-SX for example is very good), there are several good controllers also high end that are equally good and need to be considered later.

The Wee-Go is really a fun toy. It is totally cool if you DJ at home in the bedroom, but it can also be cool when you are already a well versed DJ (who knows all the basics) and want a light portable controller, just to fool around with or make a garden party at their house.
Friend of mine actually has one hooked up when he does his house parties, but he plays with his VCI-400 and has the WeeGo if someone of the guests wants to try around a little (like open mic hour), for which the VCI is much too complicated.
