I find the 6s to have a slightly fuller tone if you do not have a sub. If you are going to have a sub anyway, then you do not really need it I guess.
The soundcard in your DJ controller should usually be nice enough. The NI audio interfaces are really good and reasonably priced if your DJ controller does not have a soundcard built in.

oooh.. ok. But lets say im just gonna use my laptop for listening to music. would those soundcards work for that too, hooking up perfectly and everything?

For listening to music, studio monitors are not the way to go… they are for studio and mixing purposes as you have to sit exactly in the sweet spot… for casual listening I would stay away from monitors.

ok, well Im getting a ddj-sx and im gonna have it plugged into the setup, but what if i just want to sit and listen to my music through them so i can hear clearly whats put into the song so i can dissect different parts i wanna use for mixing. would those NI sound cards still work with just my laptop? Or would something from M-Audio do better or another brand?

Well why not simply switch on the DDJ SX and listen through it? It will be better than any laptop soundcard…
But yes you can also use any NI or M-Audio Interface standalone.

    true…
So just stick with the 5’s since the 6 isnt really a difference since im getting the 10s?
