You could always just map it. Numark may even put up a mapping for you like they do with a lot of their other controllers. I agree with you about the NS7 II, I was very excited when I saw it as well.

The problem with just mapping is getting tight jogwheel integration. The motorized platters are kinda the big deal with the ns7 models, and I don’t believe there is yet a flawless mapping with the original ns7 that allows for tight jogwheel integration.

Traktor does not allow tight jog integration of that controllers, sadly.

The effects in Serato DJ are awesome, which is no wonder as they are from iZotope which is THE effects company.
However they have lots of parameters going on…

The only thing that I currently see lacking behind compared to traktor is the sample player. However not a big deal for me, since I do not use it much. I rather use maschine.

^ Thanks for the info Terry, it makes me feel not so bad about considering leaving Traktor. The f1 is just collecting dust anyway, and I’ve a maschine mikro. Any idea when the controller release will be? I need to start saving now XD

I’ve been having wet dreams about a piece of hardware with these specs since I started digital……. even though I can’t afford it, I’ll make the purchase launch day (both =D and =( )

Yeah, I’ll be taking a 2nd job very soon to earn a quick 1500, damn my love of motorized platforms.

hahahaha i wish i could do the same but being military i have very little time for a 2nd one. i wish i could just get a second one to get my new one. either the sx or this. depends on the price of the ns7 II. All my extra money comes from djing and im the assistant so the main slice of profit doesnt always come my way so i dont make much 🙁 at least im getting expierience.

I will tell you, if you don’t scratch don’t feel bad, it’s really only an aesthetic thing at that point.

my guru that teaches me swears by turntables and has me haul around his two 60 pound turntables and a 30 pound mixer to all his events that i help him at…so cause of that i have grown distasteful of scratching on turns. if the only true difference is the motorized platters im just gonna go with the sx

I mean there are a few more bells and whistles, but the SX is a beast of a controller in its own regard, and the ns7 II isn’t really a huge upgrade outside of the motorized platters (if that’s your thing)

Indeed, if you are not a scratch DJ or turntablist, the NS 7 will not come into its own…
