This sounds really good. The harmonic mixing really makes all your mixes blend together a lot more. Great job on that front!

One thing I’d say you could improve is that some of the mixes become a bit crowded when you combine two build-ups to drop into the new song. Honestly, this is something I struggle with sometimes as well, but the trick is to remove some sounds from the old song by turning down the bass or even the high and mid and replace these with the new song. If it’s done right it can sound amazing, but if it becomes too crowded everyone is just waiting for it to end so they can enjoy the next song. Note that this only happened a couple of times during the mix, so it didn’t ruin it at all 🙂 (on example is the mix from Detonate into Hate the Game)

I really enjoy the tracks you choose. This whole mix actually reminds me of the kind of drum and bass that I like to play at the gigs I’ve got. I’m even pretty sure that I’ve made that exact transition you did between Digital World and Tonight a couple of times during a set.

Looking forward to hearing more mixes, your definitely improving very fast from the first mix you’ve posted here

    Thanks DJimC 🙂

You’re right about the transitions sometimes being crowded. I think it can be quite hard to find the sweet spot when cutting or boosting the lows and mids, so I always do my best not to overdo it. The highs seem to be less of a problem though? But I’ll definately pay more attention to it in the future, so thanks for the tip!

It’s really great to get some elaborate feedback on my work. It keeps me going!

I’ll definately be looking forward to your mixes as well.
