Well I think for the Mixtrack the Serato DJ Pro version is already available.
And it is by many considered the most solid entry controller.

Hey there. I bought the Mixtrack and returned it because it felt too plastic for me. Functionality, it works great, however with what I had in mind of keeping everything compact and be able to place my laptop and controller into my bag, I got the Vestax Typhoon w/ VDJ. I have had it for 6 months now and I love it. I use it for when I DJ in a club/bar and works great! Have fun!! ::R♡CKY::

1 think makes me not to buy typhoon: no hot cues on the controller just 1 cue button. If there is any way i can set cue points i would definitely buy it. Can you tell me this way

Easiest way (atleast with virtual dj as that is what I am most familiar with) would be hot cue it in ur software and then use ur laptop to trigger the cue. You could map 1-9 on ur keypad as cues. or any other button really.

For me what I did first is to get to know what software I want to use. Since VDJ is free to try, I went ahead and tried it out for a week or so. Then, based on the direction I wanted to go w/ portability and simplicity…I decided to purchase Vestax Typhoon.

If you want a controller that has hot cue’s on it, I believe there’s different affordable controllers out there. I use my laptop for the hot cues. I have it mapped so that I can access it.

I upgraded to VDJ Pro. It works fine when I DJ in the club/bar w/ the Vestax Typhoon.

Goodluck and more than anything keep it simple for yourself and have fun!! 🙂
