well if the laptop is primarily for dj’ing my personal opinion is go for the hard drive with biggest capacity as i really would not see any real gain performance wise with traktor going the SSD route……performance wise traktor really performs better with a good CPU and plenty of RAM………i may be wrong as i’ve not used SSD drives, see what others think before you make the choice.

You definately do not need the performance of an SSD to DJ.
Plus points of the SSD are: No moving parts (= less things can break down when handled around a lot), much lighter.
    Minus: Expensive and less capacity.

I am currently using mostly normal HDs, for the simple reason I did not want to pay Apples high prices for SSD upgrades…

That is what my thought process was, for the extra money of an SSD I could go with at 15″ instead of 13″, thank you for the help

SSD for me. Less can go wrong on it.

SSDs imo are pretty useless for DJing…They are super expensive, dont really have any positives and I have in my lifetime with dealing with computers have only ever had 1 hard drive crash on me.

For the extra 250 i could buy another 100 or so tracks which is WAY more valuable.

As well there are a lot of cloud services for like 3 bucks a month where you can back everything up in case anything goes wrong.
