Some things I’ve tried that haven’t solved my issue but may solve yours are:

    – Update the drivers and firmware for your controller, found via Serato’s website.
    – Update any necessary Windows or HP drivers, updates, BIOS upgrades, etc.
    – Update ITCH to the latest version, 2.2.2 last I checked.
    – Defragment your hard drives to increase efficiency.
    – Run your music in the program locally from the laptops HDD and not a USB drive.
    – Disable Wi-Fi, antimalware, and any other non-essential programs running in the background.
    – Try a third-party USB cable or update your USB drivers for the HP.
    – Do not use a USB Hub.

    Happy troubleshooting, friend.

Well, updated bios, updated drivers, etc and the same thing is happening. Seems to be localized to the right deck on the player. Will supply this info to the novation folks. Hopefully they have some ideas. This sucks for it to have worked just fine for nearly 2 months and then just crap out on me.

I feel you there, sorry it didn’t help.

No problem. I guess my next step is to try to ship it back to novation. It’s covered under their 1yr manufacturers warranty. However, if they send it back saying “it worked fine for them” I’ll probably have to go with a different brand of mixer. We’ll see what happens.

It’s unlikely that Novation would send you back your deck if it’s still under warranty. If it works for them when they test it, they can just refurbish it and re-sell it.

Novation’s customer service is excellent and they’ll do all they can to help you. Have you tried phoning them and getting them to help diagnose the problem? Often, they’ll be able to help without the need to send the unit back. It’s worth phoning before you send it back.
