What I did was I went to a bunch of websites for other DJ’s (local & famous) and read theirs and you’ll get a sense on how to draft yours. You’ll also notice that the majority of them are pretty similar so it’s not as if you’re plagiarizing some unique written work.

An event coordinator approached me and asked for my DJ profile as his reference for his upcoming events. This is a great opportunity for me but I have no idea what a DJ profile looks like and what I should include in it, specially when I’m a newbie.

    Your advice and tips, please?

Like anything else in print, a well-written bio has good spelling, grammar and good flow. It should have some kind of structure as well. You can start with an outline and answer questions like this:

    1. Where you’re from?
    2. How did you start DJing?
    3. Who are your influences?
    4. What genre of music do you play and what is your DJ style?
    5. List a few accomplishments or points of interest.
    6. Latest projects and direction.
