First "Formal" – Dress Code?

this along the lines of what I wear. Just make sure you don’t stick out like a sore thumb. If you look sharp, people treat you better too.

Indeed, try to blend in. Many people will not like DJs if they dress less formal, just because “they can get away with it” and will think badly of you. So I usually dress up for such events (of course even more important at weddings). So dark suit with black or white shirt and a tie. If you like to express some DJ eccentric thing, than only do it with a bling bling watch or a somewhat unusual tie, but do not go over the top there either.
I usually have my hat on as a marketing thing. (Which is not unlike the one my doggy avatar is wearing, except it is from Nike and its black…)

iTunes, Amazon, Juno, Google Play. Shop and get some. Don’t expect people to give you MP3s, that’s not legit.

Mind you, I only played a few of these when I did a sorrirty semi-formal, but my list of slow songs I had picked out was:

If you only need a couple those should work. Read your crowd, see what they’re into, just make sure to bump a banging song right afterwards. I went with a redrum of Taylor Swifts “We are never getting back together”. Make sure if you kill the energy on purpose for some slow songs, that you have the ability to bring it right back up with a banger.
