    TRANSITION ABILITY 3/4
    TRACK SELECTION 3/4

    TECHNICAL ABILITY 4/4

    Tracklist is missing

This is solid, NY/Detroit style techno, a selection of tunes that will be sure to resonate with any afficionado of the genre.

The energy level is maintained throughout the set, in keeping with this genre’s requirement for linear, buildup-free song programming. Beatmatching ability is impressive but not perfect, your transitions are too audible. Try gradually cutting the highs as well as the bass while you bring in the incoming track.

There’s the impression that your beatmatching records means merely playing two records at the same time in sync (ex: 1:02:43). You’ve got a good handle on syncing but you need to make these records talk with each other, create an enhanced sound which melds the two records together. How one achieves this separates the good from the excellent DJ.

Unless that’s all you listen to, non-vocal, bangin’ techno can get dull at times. Try programming hot cues and playing with those, triggering different parts of the track, layering them together in creatively so as to add an element of surprise. Using a vocal would enhance your set and help broaden your audience. Remember, more listeners, more popularity, more money.

    Show some attitude!

    Good job!

Thank you for your feedback, really appreciate it! The reason I didn’t include a tracklist is in the nature of my mixing style. I don’t mix songs the normal way. I only use loops throughout the whole set, wich allow me to create my own sounds by layering the different elements on top of each other. All the breaks you hear are created by myself using fx’s and filters. So because I used about 30 different loops, even I will have a hard time figuring out the tracklist 😉

Thnx again for your reply and keep on going with your in depth reviews, really helpfull!

loops? your own productions? Why surely I knew that, Jimbo 😉
I suppose my comment about a tracklist is in vain, then? You should say in the title or the comments that these are your own productions.
I think the other comments still apply, clearly. Well done, by the way.
