Get gigs. There is nothing that will teach you more than playing out. Even if it is a private party with 20 people. Do not solely focus on clubs. Parties, bars,… whatever gets you going.
I think I would not be able to produce in the quality that I can today, without the teaching “of the crowd” when playing live.

see, it was grand when I was in uni, cos I could always get a houseparty gig, but I’m not back in uni till january, so I’m hedging my bets on bars and clubs. It’s very annoying though. People that say they’ll help you don’t.

Just hold onto it. Sometimes there is more to do, sometimes less.
I was playing every weekend the last 6 months. Now the bar closed down and I am stuck with occasional gigs… this is the way it is, just try to keep yourself motivated, invite some friends and play them an hour of music, watch a movie… whatever keeps you going.

I think it’s just a bit of a lack of motivation. Between the hard drive, the gigs and the controller thing, I’m just a bit pissed off. I just need one gig to get me back on the buzzwaves. Think I can play live with this on my smartphone? http://bit.ly/1oo3eO

if you are not back in uni for learning go back to it for promoting (if its not that far). Put up posters and talk to the event ppl or w/e find the popular kids and you’ll get their house 😛
