    Well, you’d need to attach both decks by USB to your laptop and set the decks to be midi 1 and 2 (or A and B, or whatever designation they use). Then you can assign the correct outputs in your software (assuming you use RekordBox DJ – also called performance mode, not “regular” RekordBox).

    Thanks mate! That makes sense. Yes I have Rekordbox DJ and will get a second USB cable. I was hoping that maybe I could have just used the one USB connection, and that the Link cable between the two decks would have taken care of the rest but I guess not.

    Nope, the link cable only works if the you have like a USB stick in one unit. Not when connected to DJ software.

    Ah, I see. I got myself another USB cable yesterday and everything worked out fine.
