    I would say Cross DJ and Serato are your best bets.

    Just to compare, I believe you can use the trial versions of rekordbox, serato and tracktor as well.. And maybe, if the problem continues, you can think about upgrading yous external hard drive to a SSD, so you have a fastest reading time.

    Also, check if your USB cable is good… Low quality cable ou even a USB2 when you should use a USB3 cable can cause a lot of trouble…

    Virtual shouldn’t be freezing up on you, and if it is consistently happening then it is likely a hardware or driver problem at fault, and switching software isn’t going to necessarily resolve that.

    I’d suggest starting with troubleshooting. What version of Virtual are you using and what are your computer specs?
