The MC6000 mk2 is still an awesome controller and certainly road-ready and indestructible. Denon is still alive and kicking and available for warranty and service, as opposed to Vestax which is no longer in existence.

If you want a fully loaded controller my money would be on the Denon. I used to own one (the original, not the mk2 which I consider slightly better due to more clever ergonomics) before my current SX which is making way for the MC8000 I am phasing in.

Thanks for the input i agree the Denon is a good controller but is there anything else on the market which would give it a run for its money? small and compact?

Well Vestax is out of business, I would not buy anything where I do not get warranty.

The MC6000 Mk II is prolly one of the best in the industry, still.
The reloop Terminal Mix 8 is smaller, but not as small as the Denon and fits most booths easily, however it is really inexpensive.
The Numark NV is a bit smaller, however it is more plastic than the others. It is still well made and also affordable.

Those are the ones that come to mind.

Check out the new Mixars unit announced yesterday. Most companies seem to only put full features into their larger controllers these days, but this new unit looks fully stocked. Not sure on an actual release date though…

Ya, I own Denon and Reloop gear and it’s all solid as a rock. You wouldn’t be disappointed. Just throwing all the options out there.

Well if you want to go really small the Akai AMX/AFX combo is also great fun. Played with them a bit and it was amazing how much you could do (I actually used the one AMX, one AFX and one reloop Neon).
