Speakers with latency? That is new to me. Unless they are wireless speakers in which case you are not able to DJ with them (or any other wireless speaker).

So 80ms is really too much? Even after practicing a lot? It’s a wireless speaker indeed.

    Yes it is too much.

You could actually be dancing to tunes in your headphone and be visibly out of sync with the music the crowd dances to. Besides, there are no serious PA speakers with wireless. So if you say you saw wonderful speakers with wireless, the must be ment for home use, not for any kind of serious DJ-ing.

    Hi DJ Vintage,

thanks for your response! It’s about two Devialet Phantom speakers. I’ve had one and they got everything: compactness, design, wireless/comfortness, loudness ánd quality. I don’t DJ very often, much more of a bedroom DJ. However I would love to throw a little party now and then and use these speakers. In the mean time, I want to use them while watching a movie and listen to some music while studying. They look like great all-rounders.

The reason I returned them is that they had 160ms latency at that moment. A software update made it possible to get them at 80ms.

Beat matching with an headphone continually would be an idea indeed.
