I don’t. And frankly I wonder what the added value is of being able to record both channels separately, instead of in the mix. The only reason I can think of is to be able to do post-production in a DAW as they suggest. The DDJT course on making mixtapes shows that you can perfect your mixes in post-production with free software (audacity) and no extra hardware requirements.

It seems to me that this has to built-into your hardware, I know of no way of “unmixing” a signal into two separate channels.

yes i want to record 2 channels in a DAW for post-production, for example deck A drums (scratch loop) deck B Bass, instead of recording them separately one at a time, i could do it at once to speed up my workflow.

You are going from software to the mixer normally in what way?

Totally theoretical here, but I would think you might be able to hack this type of feature into any 4 channel mixer with a 8 in/8 out soundcard built in (think along the lines of Denon X1600 or Pioneer NXS900). Those return channels can be used for DVS timecode signal, so the pathways are there… With some clever mapping you could route those into a DAW instead…

An important thing is do you want pre- or postfader and FX signal in your DAW?

In the former case a simple 4-in/4-out sound card might do the trick also.
I think Todd’s solution won’t work for the latter either as DVS signal is also pre-everything.

Decks -> sound card input -> USB channels to DAW -> either direct monitoring from sound card outputs to mixer OR loopback from DAW to sound card outputs over USB (latency issues possible though).
