As an update I’ve uninstalled VDJ8 and downloaded again on the hope that maybe the correct driver would be installed. Upshot: Still not playing smoothly and now have lost my Cue points, even though I copied and replaced that Database XML.

I don’t use VDJ, so can’t help you with the whole database thing.

Have you tried using an ASIO4All driver (should be able to download the latest from the asio4all website)?

I’ll let you know he latest in case any of you guys experience the same problem. VDJ suggested that the drivers needed updating, so I contacted the laptop manufacturer and they sent a link for each driver. Still the same. So I had the machine reverted to 8.1 (You can do that within 30 days). Still the same. So now It’s having a clean Win 10 install. If anybody knows where I can send the invoice to Microsoft please let me know.

I would check drivers as well. My Core2 Duo Dell XPS 16 Laptop upgraded from Windows 7 to 10 and I have NO problems. I DJ WITH video all the time and it is VERY reliable. No skipping, no freezing, perfect music. Not so with other DJ software!

I had the same issues with Windows 10. After installing 8.1 never looked back. In short Wait for Windows 10.1 ?
