Not a bad thing to have ambition.
To make “being succesful” your goal is probably not gonna make you get there. As any good coach will tell you, your goals have to be SMART:
Specific – What EXACTLY do I want to achieve
Measurable – How will I know I make progress and how when I reached my goal
Achievable – It has to realistically be possible. If you are an ugly guy, having a goal of becoming Miss Universe is not really achievable
Relevant – Your goals have to fit in with the rest of your goals in life and fit your short and long term plans
Timely – You need a timeline with milestones. When will I have what step in my journey completed. Wanting to be succesful “in the future” is not going to help you.
Unfortunately there is no one who can tell you what to do EXACTLY to become (your definition of) succesful. Even if you define succes the same as someone else, the journey there will be different.
Here at DDJT forums you can find A LOT of information on all kinds of relevant topics for starting and more experienced DJs alike. Things like music discovery (shops and DJ pools, other places to find/discover music, etx.). Also information on gear, software, tips & tricks, how to get gigs, how to behave in a DJ booth. In short, all information you need is either here or elsewhere on the web.
It’t up to you to have a SMART plan as it will help you ask the right questions that will lead you to the best information for you.
Most important thing is a love of music though and that is something you have or you don’t. And since you are here, I am gonna guess you have that!
