I happen to have listened to them at the Dancefair in Utrecht last weekend and I was definitely impressed. Looks good, sounds better, loads of volume. Presets for EQ in the D-class amps. But you should get the set, so including the 12″subs DLM12S. Don’t worry about it being sufficient for 100 people.
Be aware that the rated 2000W is program, not RMS. RMS is quoted at 1000W for both the 12S and the 8. Total for 4000W in a really small package. This would actually allow you to play to about 400! people. Clearly two 12″ subs will add to the size of the setup.
The subs go pretty low (35Hz!) and have a max SPL (Sound Pressure Level) of 128dB, plenty oomph.
I think the 12″tops with 12″ subs would be overkill. The 12″ tops would be better used solo (without subs), were the 8″ would lack serious low to be used solo.
Other things to look at are systems like the LD Systems Dave, HK Audio Lucas Nano (600), LD Systems Curv (new) and plenty of other brands that bring 1 sub/2 satellite options. These sound great for their size, are truly compact and portable, have a very small footprint and are generally sufficient for 100-120 people.
Hope that helps some.
