Signum – Coming On Strong – Started taking an interst in music growing up during the era in which this was released, as most people probably did, first heard this during the Kevin and Perry film.

Hi Graham, you forgot to link a audio or video of the track.
    So here it is:

Not a big fan of Trance, but this one is ok. (Meaning I can listen to it from start to the end, LOL)

Ok, Valentine’s Day on Sunday (you haven’t forgotten, have you?)
My favourite classic Valentine’s Day tunes from back in the day:

    Artist: Joyce Simms
Title: Come Into My Life (Club version)
    Label: Sleeping Bag Records
    Genre: Soul
    Year: 1987

    Artist: S.O.S. Band
Title: Just Be Good To Me
    Label: Tabu Records
    Genre: Funk / Soul
    Year: 1983

    Artist: Princess
Title: Say I’m Your Number One
    Label: TELDEC
    Genre: Soul
    Year: 1985

I’m in the USA Vintage…decided to post before bedtime because I knew I’d be busy on Friday. 😉

Graham…I so remember Signum. All those Tidy Trax days. Nice pick.

GerdB, that last tune…so Stock, Aikman, and Waterman.

Here’s one buzzing in my brain today:

    Title: I Beg Your Pardon
    Artist: Kon Kan
    Label: Atlantic

    Genre(s): Synthpop, New Wave
    Year released: 1989

In my youth, I simply loved the synthpop sound, and felt it was a very discombobulated tune. As a older adult, I realized how much of it was a big sample track.

And my second in an entirely different direction:

Title: Rebirth Of Slick (Cool Like Dat)
    Artist: Digable Planets
    Label: Pendulum Records, Elektra

    Genre(s): Hip-Hop, Acid Jazz
    Year released: 1992

Back when you could hear good hip-hop on the mass media. Back when MCs used college-level English. Oh what a time…

Ye D-Jam, Stock, Aitken and Watermann had a very recognizable sound. (Some say every song sounded like the other)
Back in the 80s the producer team Stock, Aitken and Watermann where kind of dominating the charts with there productions, from Kylie Minogue to Rick Astley the list of artists they produced is immense. And for a lot of people it was a love them or hate them thing.
But I always liked their productions. I played those tunes at parties, and the girls liked it and danced and enjoyed it (always play for the girls), mission acomplished.
